Topic details

This is a four year MSc and PhD training programme, cooperatively run between Imperial College London, Cambridge, and the Open University (ICO). In year 1 you will study the MSc in Nuclear Engineering at Imperial College. In years 2-4 you will conduct cutting edge research in Nuclear Energy at either Imperial College, Cambridge University or Open University. This programme of study accepts candidates for October entry (2014-).

Administrative information

Requirements to apply :
At least an upper second (2.1) degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Materials, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Earth Sciences). Equivalent EU degrees will be also considered.

Tuition fee :
The ICO CDT has many of 4-year fully funded EPSRC studentships available. Studentships from this funding steam require you to either be a U.K. citizen or a European Union national who has been resident in the U.K. for at least 3 years prior to your CDT studentship. This funding will cover fees and a stipend for both the MSc (year 1) and the PhD (years 2-4) parts of your study.
